Where black people could organize and petition jurisdiction by jurisdiction, no one will be able to petition government because it will lack means and methods to investigate and enforce. No one stopping BofA and Big5 refusing to service customers of SWEPCO from 2017-2023.

being on hold with swepco will piss you off so bad

Promises are being made about fuel costs going down in 2022 upon retirement once the mine is no longer burning coal. CM Campbell asks, why do you keep using it if it costs more? Cleco and swepco reps say it was run during winter storm URI.

@fishing1262 @AEPTexas The power pole was in my parents backyard, in an alleyway that was specifically built for use by AEP, Swepco, Centex, etc — you have all the access you need, but no one has ever replaced it, never tried to fix it, nothing. The lines droop below 6’ in the back yard in spots.

@SimonMahan @Apple True. But as someone who's very attentive to utility branding, it's odd to see them mashed up in a search like that. Why not "CenterPoint SWEPCO" (who also overlap gas/electric service)?
- cosmicdrewracing (@cosmicracerdrew) reported
@Stromburski Yep. Hopefully swepco gets on it but the university said "SWEPCO has had a substation event resulting in a loss of power to our south Fayetteville facilities. There is currently no timeline for when power may be restored, but we will provide updates as they arrive."
- Alliance 4 Affordable Energy (@All4Energy) reported
CM Campbell at LPSC pointing out that Louisiana’s electric rates are going up. Cleco and swepco now at or above national average. Plus gas prices are way up and winter is coming. @la_psc
- Chase Efurd (@ChaseEfurd) reported
So after jacking my electric bill up to an astronomical level, SWEPCO decides to shut off the power to half of the city and ruin my night. This is complete bullsh*t. SWEPCO can suck my ***. @SWEPCoNews
- Maryette Garrett (@GMaryette) reported
@SWEPCoNews hey SWEPCO, no electricity at 1616 Frost, Gilmer. No rain, no sleet, no snow, no hail. Guess y’all using refurbished transformers again.
- Alliance 4 Affordable Energy (@All4Energy) reported
Swepco $167M increased fuel cost from winter storm URI. Swepco asking to spread recovery over 5 years at $5 per month.
